Levonline's Business Class subscription supports MySQL databases, which means that the website can be made more dynamic and that large amounts of data are easily searchable for visitors. It is a good idea to use databases for product and price information, news archives etc., where updating needs to be straightforward.
Support for most types of script language is of course included, e.g. ASP, PHP, CGI (Perl, Python, bash) and SSI. Uploading
of websites is straightforward, using FTP, SSH or Frontpage 2000, and with 2 GB of space a lot of different files can be set up, including
databases, images, music and maybe even brief video clips.
It is possible to connect 5 domains to the subscription at no extra cost. You choose whether they are to be linked to the
start
page or to a sub-catalogue. Connecting an extra domain to a sub-catalogue may be suitable if you wish to run a campaign site separately from your normal website or if you have a brand and you want its domain name to take visitors straight to a product page. You can connect your extra domains to the subscription whenever you want, thus you do not need to do this when placing the order.
25 mailboxes are included, and an unlimited number of e-mail addresses can be linked to them, or forwarded to external addresses. The e-mails can be accessed in several different ways. The subscription supports collection using POP3/IMAP, technologies that most e-mail clients support (e.g. Outlook), as well as Webmail, which is handy if you are out and about and do not have access to your normal computer. So that you will feel secure we have chosen to filter out viruses from all incoming and outgoing e-mail and ensure that spam (unwanted e-mail) is marked or deleted before reaching your mailbox.
